Ari Emanuel’s ‘Take No Prisoners’ Memoir ‘Roll the Calls’ Is Headed for Bestsellers List Already
Ari Emanuel’s Roll the Calls is set to hit bookshelves on September 22 — but it’s already proven to be a must-read for go-getters and aspiring entrepreneurs.
On Saturday, August 22, the super-agent, 65, took to X to announce his memoir is available for preorder and shared a first look at the official cover.
“Well. Got my study material for back to school. Honestly can’t think of a better guy in entertainment to aspire to be than Ari Emanuel,” Spencer Pratt wrote on X. “Dude is the GOAT. He is Entourage in real life.”
“Truth is better than fiction,” Elon Musk shared on X.
Before becoming the CEO of WME Group and executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings — which owns the UFC and WWE — Emanuel, 65, founded Endeavor Talent Agency and represented the likes of Ben Affleck, Larry David and Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg, 55, famously used his longtime super-agent as the inspiration for Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold in Entourage.
According to Penguin Random House, Emanuel “tells the incredible stories behind the signings and firings, the triumphant mergers and nasty breakups, the hard-won victories and crushing mistakes” in Roll the Calls “in a punchy, telegraphic style, with disarming humility and ribald candor.”
In May, Emanuel told People the book will advise readers on “how to navigate the crippling self-doubt that comes from what feels like your own personal handicap,” which, he explained, was his personal struggle with dyslexia.
“People told me it was my burden, a stone around my neck. Thank God I didn’t listen because dyslexia became my superpower,” he told the outlet. “Forty years as an agent, I’ve given a lot of advice, but ‘your difference is your advantage’ applies to every single one of us.”
