90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem has seemingly responded to rumors that estranged husband Michael Ilesanmi is getting a Netflix special about surviving their marriage.
The reality star, 58, took to Instagram on Thursday, December 12, to share a “Netflix” trailer featuring several of Angela’s photos and videos. However, the video, which was set to Kanye West, Jay-Z and Rihanna’s “Run This Town,” appeared to be a viral social media trend using a template for a fake Netflix trailer.
“All I can say is this lmao #THEREALONEWINS #queenofreality #queenofme #Netflix,” Angela wrote in the caption.
In the comments, a fan asked when the air date for Angela’s Netflix special would be. The TLC personality responded with laughing emojis and a heart, further hinting that she created the trailer herself.
In another comment, Angela added, “Waiting on you trolls. where ya [at].”
Angela’s post appeared to be a response to recent rumors that Michael, 35, will star in a Netflix documentary amid their divorce.
“90 Day Fiancé: Finally Micheal GIVEN A New NETFLIX documentary series called ‘Surviving Angela,’” 90 Day Fiancé Instagram blog 90 Day Fiancé Breaking News reported in a post on November 15.
Neither Netflix nor Michael has announced any projects together, and it’s unclear if he or Angela are working with the streaming service at this time. However, fellow 90 Day Fiancé star Ed “Big Ed” Brown previously teased exclusively to In Touch that he had been offered opportunities with streaming services, so it’s possible that other 90 Day Fiancé personalities have, as well.

“I’m under contract with TLC. I’ve got offers from Netflix and Hulu that I couldn’t pursue because I’m under contract,” he said at the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards on November 18. “There [have] been several.”
Michael and Angela first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2018. The pair had a long-distance relationship, as Angela lived in the U.S. and Michael lived in Nigeria. Despite facing challenges due to their 22-year age gap and cultural differences, the couple tied the knot in 2020.
Michael finally moved to the U.S. in December 2023, but it wasn’t long before their relationship fell apart. Angela reported her husband missing in February, although she revealed hours later that she learned he was “in fear of his life” and didn’t want her to know where he was.
Angela filed for annulment from Michael on June 20, In Touch confirmed. She stated in her paperwork that the Nigeria native “fraudulently induced” her into marriage “for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
“After [Michael] abandoned [Angela], [Angela] discovered that [Michael] was engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status,” her petition claimed, according to court docs obtained by In Touch.
Elsewhere in the paperwork, Angela added, “A diligent search has been made, and [Michael] cannot be found within the State. I do not know where [Michael] lives or where [Michael] can be found. He abandoned the marital residence … and he has not contacted me. He only arrived in this country in December of 2023, so I do not have any information about his known associates.”
Michael responded to the case and asked for a divorce rather than an annulment.
“[Michael] denies that [Angela] is entitled to an annulment as the parties entered into and continue to have a lawful marriage,” his lawyer stated. “[Michael] denies that there has been fraud on his part at any time during their marriage. [Michael] denies that he abandoned [Angela], but rather states that he fled an abusive situation for his own safety.”
Michael’s lawyer continued, “Specifically, [Angela] has committed both physical and mental abuse against [Michael] during the course of the parties’ marriage. This abuse has occurred both privately and publicly. Some of this abuse was documented while the parties were present and filming reality televisions shows. This abuse is largely what lead to the parties separating in February … and [Michael] fled the marital residence.”
Michael later informed the court that he had turned over the documents that Angela requested, according to court paperwork obtained by In Touch on December 5.
