This is so sad. A source claims actress Amanda Bynes reportedly checked into rehab, Radar Online reported March 1. The move was surprising, as she’s been sober and stable for three years now, according to the outlet.

In November, Amanda, 32, opened up about her past drug abuse in a candid interview with Paper magazine. She said she started smoking marijuana when she was 16 and later, “it progressed to doing molly and ecstasy.” She added, “[I tried] cocaine three times, but I never got high from cocaine. I never liked it. It was never my drug of choice.” Amanda did note that she took a liking to Adderall and that around the time she was filming the movie Hairspray, she remembered “reading an article in a magazine that [called Adderall] ‘the new skinny pill’ and they were talking about how women were taking it to stay thin.” Yikes.

The former All That star continued explaining in the interview that when she was working on Hall Pass in 2010, “I remember being in the trailer and I used to chew the Adderall tablets because I thought they made me [more] high [that way],” she confessed. “I remember chewing on a bunch of them and literally being scatterbrained and not being able to focus on my lines or memorize them for that matter.”

Plus, during a screening of her last film, Easy A, the actress said she had “a different reaction than everyone else to the movie.” She confessed to Paper that she “literally couldn’t stand” her appearance in it and convinced herself she had to quit acting. She continued, “I was high on marijuana when I saw that but for some reason, it really started to affect me. I don’t know if it was a drug-induced psychosis or what, but it affected my brain in a different way than it affects other people. It absolutely changed my perception of things.”

Radar reported that Amanda entered rehab in 2013, and was treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Her father, Richard Bynes, told the outlet that he was pleased with her progress; he said in November that everything was “wonderful” in his daughter’s life. However, she’s now reportedly been checked into a Los Angeles rehab facility specializing in addiction. We wish her only the best in her fight to get sober and healthy.
