90 Day Fiance’s Gino Agrees to an Open Marriage With Jasmine and to Meet Matt on ‘The Last Resort’

Gino Palazzolo finally came to the acceptance that an open marriage was the only way forward with wife Jasmine Pineda on 90 Day: The Last Resort, revealing that he was willing to fulfill her wish — which included meeting the partner she is interested in, Matt Branistareanu.

The Michigan native, 56, worried that Jasmine, 38, might cheat on him, telling the therapist on episode 16 of season w that he would consider an open marriage if she agreed to turn on location sharing services on her smartphone so he could keep tabs on her.

“It would help, certainly would help. Because otherwise Jasmine, you know, could leave me and cheat on me with someone else. As terrible as an open marriage sounds, this might be the only way to keep Jasmine in my life,” Gino explained in the Monday, March 17, episode. As a result, Jasmine immediately began sharing her location with her husband.

Gino clarified that he hadn’t agreed to his wife having sex outside their marriage, as Rob Warne asked him at the group therapy session, “What’s the point of a GPS if she can have sex with other people anyway?” Gino told Rob, “Because I didn’t agree to that yet,” and he wanted to know if Jasmine was going to be with one person in their open marriage or multiple men.

The Panama native told her husband that she was grateful that he was finally coming around to considering an open marriage while they were shopping at the resort’s store.

“I would like to let you know how much I appreciate and how much it means to me. You are open to consider, you know, the ethical non-monogamous marriage like just the fact that you are open to consider it, it means a lot to me. And I would like to touch base on it because you know that at the end of this retreat, the idea is to, to compromise, you know, to change for better our relationship [sic],” Jasmine explained.

Gino responded, “Yeah, I did put some more thought into it and, you know, I do, you know, I want to go forward with it. This open marriage.”

He continued, “You know, I, I love you very much and I don’t want to lose you. And I feel like I’m on the verge of losing you because you’re always getting angry about, you know, not having intimacy. You’re always mad at me about it. I feel like I need to take action. Like now.”

Jasmine revealed in a previous episode of The Last Resort that she and Gino were in a sexless marriage and hadn’t been intimate in nine months.

Gino asked Jasmine about Matt, 37, whom she already said was the person she wanted to include in their open marriage. “How do you know this is the person that you want to be intimate with?” he questioned.

“Like, OK, number one is because it has been a very like unconditional friend for the month that I have known him. You know, we have a lot of things in common,” Jasmine explained about her gym buddy while confirming he was single.

Gino then worried about his wife developing deeper feelings for Matt in an open relationship, telling her, “If you end up getting too close to this person, we have to stop this.”

“Like if you start having feelings for this person suddenly you have to tell me, if you guys start getting feelings, we have to stop this,” he pleaded.

Jasmine later revealed, “I’m worried about Gino refusing to talk to Matt because I think that he is not serious about having an open marriage as he is making me believe that he is.”

During their final group therapy session, everyone was asked about what they needed for the recommitment ceremony in one word. Jasmine picked “evolve” while Gino used the word “comeback.”

The duo revealed to the group that they were moving forward with an open relationship, yet Gino wanted to come up with “guidelines and everything for this open marriage idea.”

The therapist stressed to Gino that it would be important to have a conversation with Matt before bringing him into an open marriage. The product development engineer agreed to have a phone call with Matt before the recommitment ceremony.

“We need to take every step seriously, as the therapist said. And one of the main things is transparency, communication, respect. And part of it is you talking to Matt,” Jasmine told her husband, while placing a call to Matt for a FaceTime session as the episode came to a close.

As fans know, Jasmine is pregnant with Matt’s child, revealing they’re expecting their first baby together in a February 18 Instagram post. In Touch exclusively reported on January 6, that the former English teacher was expecting baby No. 3 and Gino wasn’t the father. At the time, sources said that the father was “almost certainly” Matt, whom Jasmine met at a Michigan gym.

Jasmine already has two sons — Juance and JC — from a previous relationship. The boys live with her family members in Panama.

Following her pregnancy announcement, Jasmine shared a set of maternity glamour photos, including one cuddled up to Matt.

It’s unclear where Jasmine and Gino currently stand. Neither have filed for a divorce and Jasmine seemingly hinted that she got her wish for an open marriage with Gino and Matt by sharing a fan page on Instagram called “@jasmine.gino.matt” and asking fans to follow it on the same day she announced her pregnancy. She added the caption, “#polyamorous.”

Gino and Jasmine were first introduced to TLC viewers in 2021’s season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. After documenting the days leading up to their June 2023 wedding on season 10 of 90 Day Fiancé, the pair continued to share their marital struggles on the franchise, with the couples’ retreat spinoff 90 Day: The Last Resort being their latest appearance.
