90 Day Fiance’s Deavan Says She Doesn’t ‘Trust’ Jihoon As They Fight Over Money on ‘The Other Way’
Cash crisis? The tension between Deavan Clegg and her husband, Jihoon Lee, was next level as they argued about money during the Monday, June 15, episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The mother of two was preparing to once again give up her life in Salt Lake City to move to South Korea and was worried about their stability.
“I trust that he loves us, but I don’t trust him financially and with promises,” she said. Deavan, 23, and Jihoon, 29, had previously agreed that if she relocated, he would work full-time so she could be a stay-at-home mom. At this point, she felt like he wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain.
“I built an amazing life here and giving that up to move to Korea really sucks, especially if Jihoon doesn’t follow through on what he promised,” the star added.
Deavan found a temporary apartment for them with her income, however she didn’t want Jihoon getting too comfortable with that setup. She told him to start looking for a home they could build a future in.
“It’s your turn to take on that responsibility,” the TV personality told him about bringing in the money, to which he replied, “Don’t worry.”
On the bright side, Deavan’s mother was planning to come along to help her settle into their new place, but she also expressed her disappointment in regards to their money situation. Of course, this added even more pressure on the duo.
Jihoon claimed he landed two jobs and said it would bring in enough cash to support their family of four, including their 1-year-old son, Taeyang, and her 3-year-old daughter, Drascilla. Even with his claims that everything was going to be just fine, she wasn’t convinced.
“I really want my kids to have a good life and I want to make sure the bills are paid and the kids are fed,” she admitted in the confessional. “I’m really worried that Jihoon’s gonna fail me again.”
Deavan declared this will be the “last test for him and if he can’t do it then he obviously isn’t ready for the family life.”
Hopefully they can work out a suitable arrangement before it’s too late!
