Ever since Kylie Jenner and Tyga’s surprising and mysterious breakup went down, fans have had one burning question: Why did they break up in the first place?! Since then, the lip kit queen gave birth to her first child, Stormi Webster, with rapper Travis Scott in February 2018. She and her new beau seemed like a great match until they split in October 2019 after two years of dating. The starlet raised some eyebrows when she crossed paths with Tyga on the heels of her split but quickly assured fans that they weren’t back together.

As a refresher amid the drama, here’s how Kylie and Tyga’s fairytale eventually ended. After dating for nearly three years, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star called it quits with the “Hookah” artist, and people had reason to believe it has to do with finances — however, the cosmetics mogul revealed previously on an episode of E!’s Life of Kylie exactly why their relationship went south.

“There was absolutely not one thing wrong with me and T. He and I will always, always have a bond,” she divulged at the time. “There was no crazy fight, we just decided — well, I decided that I’m really young. I don’t want to look back in five years from now and feel like he took something from me when he’s really not that type of person.”

Kylie went on to explain why dating in the public eye can be tough. Things also got awkward when the former couple had a run-in at Coachella, which she admitted she wanted to “pretend never happened.”

“The hardest part about having a relationship for me is just that it’s blasted all over the Internet. You have to hear about other people’s opinions on who you’re with. It’s a lot. Most of the time, it’s just not true. Like, you have no idea what I’m like in a relationship or what kind of bond I have with somebody else,” she shared. “You cannot win the Internet. There’s no winning. It’s just unnecessary negativity. I feel like I’m in a relationship with the world sometimes.”
