The catwalk queen welcomed her second son, People reported February 6, 2025, saying she gave birth to a baby boy. A source told the outlet that the infant’s middle name is River, but did not reveal what the child’s first name is.
Gisele Bundchen Wanted to Name Son Benjamin ‘River’ But Ex Tom Brady Opposed It
The Brazil native really likes the moniker River, as that’s what she wanted to name son Benjamin Brady, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady. The former couple welcomed their oldest child in December 2009.
“I wanted him to be called River because I wanted something always flowing, immortal. My husband said, ‘There’s no way we’re going to call him River,'” Gisele told British Vogue in March 2010.
She ended up getting her way with a watery name when it came to Benny’s middle name, Rein.
“But my father’s name is Reinoldo, so it’s a homage to him. And it’s like water,” Gisele added.

In addition to Benjamin, Gisele managed to get another watery middle name when she and Tom welcomed daughter Vivian in December 2012. Her full name is Vivian Lake Brady. With the addition of her new baby boy, all of Gisele’s children have water-themed middle names.

Gisele has three biological children. She shares Benjamin and Vivian with Tom. The former couple married in February 2009 and divorced in October 2022. Gisele became a mom again with the winter 2025 birth of the son she shares with Joaquim.

Despite her split from Tom nearly two years prior, Gisele gushed about her “bonus” child in an August 2024 Instagram Story birthday tribute.
“Happy Birthday to this sweet peanut!” Gisele wrote alongside a throwback photo alongside Jack as a child and one with him in the present day. “Who turned into a beautiful, kind and incredible young man. We are so lucky to have you in our lives! Love you so much!”

The pair grew to be close friends after Gisele began jiu-jitsu training with Joaquim at his Valente Brothers self-defense gym in North Miami Beach, Florida.
One month after announcing her divorce from Tom in October 2022, Gisele was photographed with Joaquim at her vacation home in Costa Rica, along with Benjamin and Vivian. Life & Style exclusively reported there was nothing romantic between the duo and they were just “long-time” pals.
Joaquim made his first public appearance at an event for Gisele in March 2024, being a supportive boyfriend at the Miami launch of her cookbook, Nourish.
A source close to the couple confirmed Gisele was pregnant with the pair’s first child in October 2024. “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life, and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” the insider told People.
TMZ reported on February 5, 2025, that Gisele had “recently” given birth and sources said both “mom and the baby are healthy.”
