Gisele Bundchen and Joaquim Valente Are ‘Overjoyed’ by Pregnancy News and Planning a Wedding

On October 28 — exactly two years to the day that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady divorced after 13 years of marriage — the world learned that the supermodel is pregnant at age 44. One day later, she was spotted flashing her baby bump in Miami and In Touch has the photos.

“Gisele is overjoyed that she and Joaquim [Valente] are having a baby,” a source exclusively tells In Touch. “The relationship has felt right to her from the beginning. Everything seemed easy and organic.” 

So right, Gisele and Joaquim, 35, are talking marriage, the insider notes. 

“She wasn’t sure she would ever have feelings like this again, and to have it happen so soon after her toxic divorce was a surprise. But Gisele finally feels seen. Friends are saying she calls Joaquim her soulmate — and that they’re getting married,” the source continues. “They want to do it sooner rather than later, so it looks like she’s going to be a pregnant bride. The ceremony will be simple and small — and beautiful!”

“A low-key wedding in Miami, with just family in attendance” is what the duo is eyeing. “Gisele will wear something white, but not a formal wedding dress,” adds the insider, noting that since Joaquim is also from Brazil, “the ceremony will be mostly in Portuguese.”

This is the first child for Gisele and her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel also shares son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with the former NFL star.

“Gisele’s secretly praying for a girl,” the insider notes, adding that she will “be happy as long as the baby is healthy.”

“She grew up with five sisters and loves the energy of being surrounded by women. Her siblings helped Gisele survive the divorce. Her relationship with Joaquim was a breath of fresh air after her divorce,” says the source. “And becoming a mother again is truly a dream come true for Gisele.”

Despite their divorce, Gisele revealed the news of her pregnancy to the former New England Patriot quarterback, 47, before going public with the announcement. 

“They don’t really communicate outside of matters regard- ing their children, so he’s not a big part of her life. She only shared the news with him out of respect for their kids,” explains the source, “so they wouldn’t have to keep any secrets.”

After Tom shared a cryptic post to social media hours after the news broke, the source dished that he’s “furious with himself. Maybe if they’d worked harder to save their marriage, he and Gisele would be the ones welcoming another baby.”
