Tori Spelling Recalls Her Accidental ‘Nip Slip Situation’ on the Red Carpet in Her 20s

Tori Spelling recalled the moment she experienced a fashion malfunction on the red carpet and showed off a little more skin than intended during a recent episode of her podcast, “MisSpelling.”

The mom of five, 51, explained that she had “a nip slip situation” when she was presenting at an awards show several years ago.

“What was I presenting at? It was either the Billboard Music Awards or the American Music Awards,” Tori began during the Tuesday, March 4, episode. “It was during the phase where I had platinum hair and I had the corkscrew curls — very Drew Barrymore — thin eyebrows, big dark lips. And this was one I got styled for.”

She continued, “I had this light blue, kind of shimmery, see-through suit. It was, like a blouse of sorts [with] one button, maybe two buttons, and the rest was kind of open so I still had my belly showing, and then, like, pants. At the time, I was all about tight dresses and everything, so I was trying to try something new.”

Tori added that the stylist told her the look “would be great,” but that she and the stylist “didn’t take into consideration that it was see-through.” The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said that she walked the red carpet with actor Patrick Muldoon and she remembered doing press and taking photos.

“As soon as the flashes went off, I can remember everyone chit-chatting, and of course, I’m like, ‘Oh, what are they looking at? Was it not my good side? Turn to my right side, my left side.’ It’s a sea, and it was, like, the red carpet for it and I was a presenter, so it was a big deal and I just remember looking up, flashes everywhere and I couldn’t even see the sea of paparazzi and the levels of them,” Tori explained. “My publicist then swooped in and she took me off. You could either see through my top or it was a nip slip. I don’t think I wore a bra and it was back before you put on the nip coverups, so I think you could just literally see [my nipple].”

The former Saved by the Bell star said that she had “just gotten her boob job” and joked that her breasts were “very perky and out there and hard and didn’t fall.” She also confessed that, with the way the top was cut, if she turned a certain way, people could see “all the way through.”

“It was like side boob,” Tori continued. “My publicist wanted to get me seen in a different light and not just teen platinum [blonde], and I played the virgin on TV. So, the photos that are online, she probably had me adjust or something, but they were getting some angles. She readjusted me. She stopped the press line. I went backstage and then I was good to go with some scotch tape bundled up under there.”

While another celeb presented, someone backstage fixed her top to avoid anymore wardrobe malfunctions for the remainder of the night.
