The Spider-Man: Brand New Day star, 30, broke his silence on the months of speculation surrounding his marriage to his longtime love and co-star.
During a new interview with Esquire, the confirmation came about during a discussion about the viral fake AI wedding photos of the two on Lake Como, Italy.
The actor said his grandmother had called him after seeing the photos, believing she hadn’t been invited to the wedding. When asked if any other family members had thought the same thing, he responded, “No, because they were all there.”
When asked for more details on their secret nupitals, he replied, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”
Marriage speculations first began when Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, revealed she was able to tie the knot without a big facade.
While attending the 2026 Actor Awards in March, he told Access Hollywood, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”
Despite his claims, Law has refused to confirm nor deny his original statement. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from picking up clues along the way.
While attending the Academy Awards later that month, many noticed a gold wedding band sitting just below Zendaya’s engagement ring as she walked the carpet. She also appeared to have a stacked display on her left finger during the press tour of The Drama.
In the midst of the tour, Zendaya did take a moment to address the speculations.
While appearing on The New York Times’ podcast Modern Love, she said, “For me, there is a level of a parasocial-like investment in my personal relationship, which I understand.”
She continued, “I am aware that I’m a public person, and so is he. I’m also aware that we’ve grown up in front of people and we’ve done movies where we fall in love with each other. I really do understand that and I don’t want to dismiss that, like, ‘Stay out of my business,’ or whatever.”
Despite her grasp of the high-profile situation, she has chosen to respect her own boundaries as a “private person.”
“I try my best to be able to have things for myself, and for him as well,” the actress explained. “We do our best in general to not hide ourselves from the world, but just to preserve things for ourselves so that we can maintain that joy just within ourselves and our loved ones and our family.”
