Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas Are Not Dating Despite the Fact That They ‘Would Make a Good-Looking Couple’

Fans went wild when they spotted Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas casually walking through London’s Soho neighborhood on February 13 after leaving a nearby restaurant. The movie stars stopped to chat with a group of admirers and, after posing for a few selfies, climbed into a taxi and sped off into the night.

As soon as word got out, speculation erupted. “Everyone was buzzing that they’re an item,” a source exclusively tells In Touch, admitting it’s hardly a surprise considering Tom “hasn’t dated anyone seriously since Katie Holmes,” who left him in 2012 after five years of marriage.

But just as some media outlets began questioning if the Valentine’s Day Eve dinner was a date, others reported that the Mission: Impossible actor, 62, and the Knives Out actress, 36, are simply new friends who met up to discuss the possibility of working together. That’s the more likely scenario, says the source, since “Ana was seen out with her boyfriend a few days later.”

Ana de Armas Is Taken

In November, the Blonde star was photographed kissing Manuel Anido Cuesta, a 27-year-old lawyer whose stepfather is Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel. On February 17 in Spain, Ana and Manuel were again photographed together.

Never say never, though. The Top Gun star has a history of pursuing talented Spanish-speaking brunettes. He dated Sofía Vergara in 2005 right before he hooked up with Katie, 46. From 2001 to 2004, he romanced his Vanilla Sky costar Penélope Cruz. Tom and Ana, observes the source, “would make a good-looking couple, too.”

As Ana has taken on more roles in action films, her admiration for Tom’s dedication to doing his own stunts has grown.

“It’s demanding and painful and your body is hurting everywhere, but it’s also very rewarding as [I’m] getting better at it,” the former Bond girl told USA Today after shooting the 2023 spy thriller Ghosted. “Besides, it’s fun. [I’m] not at a Tom Cruise level yet,” she admitted. “But I can appreciate what he does 100 percent now, and I totally get why he does it. He’s so mind-blowing.”
