Six Mothers of Nick Cannon’s Children Don’t Communicate with Each Other, Abby De La Rosa Reveals
If you’ve ever wondered how Nick Cannon manages his non-traditional family dynamic — raising 11 children with six different women — one of the mothers of his children is spilling the tea.
In a new interview, Abby De La Rosa — who shares three children (twins Zion and Zillion, 4, and daughter Beautiful, 3) with Cannon, 45 — opened up about his very modern family.
Speaking with The Shade Room, De La Rosa confessed that the six mothers do not communicate with one another, despite their children spending time and getting to know one another “numerous and numerous” amounts of times.
Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe, 14, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden, 8, and Rise, 3, and daughter Powerful, 5, with Brittany Bell; son Legendary, 4, with Bre Tiesi; daughter Onyx, 3, with LaNisha Cole; and daughter Halo, 3, with Alyssa Scott.
“As for the mothers…We don’t have any communication with each other,” De La Rosa told the outlet. “We all live very separate lives. We’re all very individualized.”
A third source noted that Andrew's other siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, also didn't do much to intervene as “nobody wanted to be the bad guy."
However, a fourth insider revealed Prince William stepped up and brought sense into the situation.
“William said, ‘This is existential. The monarchy is at stake,” the insider revealed. “And that was the moment it ended.”
“Charles feels. William calculates,” another source added. “And in this case, calculation saved the Crown for the moment.”
In 2022, Andrew was stripped of his military titles and patronages after stepping back from being a working royal in 2019 as his connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein faced public scrutiny. (Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.)
Charles later stripped his brother of his royal honors and duties in 2025. Andrew also moved out of the Royal Lodge and into the family's private Sandringham residence last week, per the BBC.
After more allegations against Andrew surfaced in the latest release of Epstein files, Royal family members began issuing statements.
On Monday, February 9, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson shared a statement with People, among other outlets, on behalf of Charles.
“The king has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct," the statement began.
“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect,” the statement further read, seemingly referring to an allegation that Andrew shared information with Epstein related to his role as a trade envoy. “As was previously stated, their majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”
As for the Prince of Wales, 43, and Princess Kate, a spokesperson also shared comments from them on Monday: “I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. “We agree or we’ll send the nannies to do it,” De La Rosa said. “That’s really it. We all live very individual lives. So, in a sense, it feels monogamous.”
In terms of how Cannon views his unconventional dating style, De La Rosa confirmed he does not like labels.
“He also lives in this constant phrase: ‘If you label me, you disable me,’ so you cannot label him in any way, which is, I’m for it. The label thing, I get it. I understand. But it’s also some truth to it so we’ve had many a conversations where it’s like, ‘No, I think you’re polyamorous.’ ‘I’m not polyamorous! I’m not! I just love, I love,’ ” the mother of three explained, recalling past conversations with Cannon.
De La Rosa added that the Drumline star’s approach has helped shape how she explains their family structure to her children.
“What I have chosen to teach my kids is, ‘Daddy loves many people. Daddy has a lot of love to give. That’s just who Daddy is.’ And they know their brothers and sisters’ parents and Miss so-and-so and Miss That, Miss That,” she explained.
The move was in response to an Instagram post in which Zarin ranted that the halftime show “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing.” She almost immediately deleted the post, but not before it was captured and shared on X by content creator Gibson Johns.
“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Zarin, 62, tells In Touch exclusively. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
Though her comments led to outrage from fellow Housewives stars including Tamra Judge, Chanel Ayan and Margaret Josephs, some fans also rallied to Zarin’s defense, with one X user agreeing that the show was “awful” and another calling it “pathetic.”

Jill will be back — this won’t keep her down. People love her. “This is a really beautiful family dynamic. Again, back to, people hate what they don’t understand,” she added. “They don’t understand the family dynamics so I’ll never expect them to ever be able to have a smidge of understanding towards it when they see it. But I will say, there’s a beautiful aspect to it especially when you see the kids.”
Ultimately, she called Cannon “the best father, the best provider, the best partner.”
