A source exclusively tells In Touch that the former Duchess of York, 66 — who was forced to vacate Royal Lodge, where she lived with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor for years — is at odds with the former Prince Andrew, 65, regarding the relocation of the late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis.
After Her Majesty died on September 8, 2022, at age 96, the beloved dogs (named Muick and Sandy) went to live with the Yorks on their property in Windsor. But after the father of two was stripped of his royal duties and honors late last year by King Charles IIIamid renewed scrutiny in his ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, he and Fergie were asked to vacate their home.
Because Andrew and Fergie are moving on separately, it’s unclear where the pups will end up.
“These dogs were originally gifted to Queen Elizabeth by the entire York family, so it was only fair and proper that they were returned to Andrew and Sarah once Her Majesty passed,” a source explains. “But since all this chaos, there’s been no clear or formal clarification about who actually owns the pets.”

“Andrew, true to form, is stating categorically [the corgis are] his, and it’s not even a discussion as his mother would obviously want them to have them,” the source claims.
However, “Sarah disputes this,” the source explains. “She misses the pooches terribly and wants at least a share of ownership once she gets herself settled at a new residence.”
Andrew has moved to Sandringham estate in Norfolk, while Fergie is reportedly considering her options for the future.
“It’s as though he’s baiting Sarah into making a formal case,” the source adds, “which she’s more than willing to do if he doesn’t come up with a compromise and stop being so pig-headed and possessive.”
Though Andrew has maintained his innocence and consistently denied any wrongdoing in regard to Epstein’s crimes, more damning allegations against him have come to light in recent months following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and the release of more Epstein files.
Feguson, who previously said via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s “lies,” also denies any wrongdoing and consistently maintains her innocence with regard to the scandal.
