Awkward! The royal family released one group photo from Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s christening on Saturday, July 6, which featured Meghan Markle and Prince Harry proudly showing off their son. However, fans pointed out that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, looked, um, miserable.
In the snap, Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, are front and center and have that new parent glow while William, 37, and Kate, 37, looked like they didn’t want to be in the photo op. One person wrote, “Did you see how the body language was in the pic? Huge space in between the two couples, and William looks so sour in the face!” while another person echoed, “I find it funny that Prince William is trying so hard not to smirk.” A third joined in, writing, “Kate doesn’t have a real smile on her face. She looks pained. William looks like he smelled something terrible. They don’t look thrilled to be there.”

However, a few social media users stuck up for William and explained that maybe the camera just caught him at a bad time. “Good heavens, speculation on Prince William’s face and how he looked while posing for [the] family photo after baptism. Is he happy, distant? Good heavens leave him, Prince Harry and wife alone. No wonder they want privacy with all the loony opinions,” one person wrote. A second fumed, writing, “Nah, I think he looks like he’s trying to hide a laugh. He’s kind of smiling. I think people need to stop with all this reading into things. It’s a lovely family photo for a happy day!”
It wouldn’t be surprising if William was putting on a show for his little brother since they aren’t as close these days. “The Queen hoped that the arrival of Archie would bring her grandsons together,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “Whilst they still talk, their relationship isn’t back to how it used to be.”
The insider added, “The boys are both married and have families of their own, so it’s only natural that they’ve drifted apart. There are still unresolved problems with Meghan — although William has accepted her into the family, her strong opinions have rubbed him and some of the other royals up the wrong way.”

Hopefully, William changes his attitude for the next family photo.
