Third wheel for life! Nina Dobrev doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with being friends with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed. On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, The Vampire Diaries alum, answered a fan’s question when they asked her if she thought it was abnormal to be so close with a former lover.

“I don’t think that’s weird at all,” the brunette beauty, 30, said. “I think that’s great. Why can’t everyone be friends? I think that they have a beautiful baby, and they are happy and so am I, and what’s bad about that?” Woah, if only everyone could be on such good terms with an ex.

Nina and Ian, 40, starred on the hit show The Vampire Diaries together, and dated for three years. The former couple split in May 2013, and by 2014, the Lost actor started dating Nikki, 30. After just six months together, the couple got engaged and tied the knot in April 2015. Two years later, they welcomed their daughter, Bodhi, into the world.

In February 2017, The Anomaly star posted a photo of himself with Nikki and Nina, explaining that there was no bad blood between the trio.

“Chilling with these two…” he wrote. “They finally were able to get together on their first real dinner. Let’s stop spreading hate everyone, there’s already too much of that right now in our world. Join in on the love. Only love here — always has been, always will be.”

The Twilight alum echoed her hubby’s post, writing, “For the last few years, we thought addressing any baseless rumors with silence was the best way. I now see that silence was taken as an opportunity to fill in the blanks with even more falsities, and juicier stories, and we, yes WE, believe we have a moral responsibility to young girls to end that narrative, because at the end of all of this, those young girls are the ones who lose.”

These three are a class act.
