“I would say that he ruined a great department,” the source said during a Thursday, April 2, episode of Brian Entin Investigates. “It’s saveable if he steps aside, and I would ask him to step aside.”
As for the morale in the department right now, the source described it as “extremely low.”
Entin then asked what people in the department were thinking when they saw the first few interviews with Nanos.
“Uh, ‘Shut your mouth. Stop talking.’ That’s pretty much what we were all saying,” the source explained.
“Yeah. This isn’t the first no-confidence vote that we’ve done, so it should have been no surprise to him especially with what has been going on,” the source said. “So not only our local community, Arizona in general, but just the nation now sees that we have no faith in Chris Nanos.”
The person also had a message for Savannah, 54, when it came to Nancy’s disappearance.
“Just because we have an incompetent lead doesn’t mean that we don’t care, that we don’t want Nancy to be brought home safely and that we’re not with her in this,” the source shared. “We are completely with her and her family on this.”
Pima County Sheriff’s Department
Nancy, 84, was last seen on January 31 after her daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, dropped her off at her Catalina Foothills home. A friend alerted the family when Nancy didn’t show up for a streaming church service the following morning.
Savannah has issued multiple pleas asking for her mother to be returned safely, and the family has offered up to $1 million in reward money for her return.
