Meghan Markle Wants Sarah Jessica Parker to Help Plan ‘Next Big Moves’ in Hollywood
As Meghan Markle continues to plot an acting comeback, a source says the Duchess of Sussex wants Sarah Jessica Parker as her mentor!
“She needs the wisdom and experience that SJP has in spades,” the source explains to In Touch. “Meghan is not going to be able to sustain her Hollywood-adjacent profile without it.”
After four-plus decades in Tinseltown, the Sex and the City alum, 61, remains a household name — and the As Ever founder, 44, hinted she was a fan during a 2022 podcast episode.
On her now-defunct Archetypes series, Markle called the character of Carrie Bradshaw “iconic” while interviewing creator Candace Bushnell, per the Daily Mail.
As In Touch previously reported, Parker bid a final farewell to the TV part — which she played for 27 years — last August, clearing the way for her to potentially take on an advisory role for the former Suits star.
“It’s all about timing,” notes the source. “SJP is at a point in her career where she has nothing to prove except her ability to nurture the next generation. She’s ready to pass on the knowledge that she has accumulated from all of her years in the entertainment business.”
The movie veteran — who’s set to appear in the upcoming Hocus Pocus 3 — and Markle, 44, already share a connection: They’ve both been clients of hairstylist Serge Normant, according to Hello! Fashion.
“Meghan and SJP have had some limited communications through their mutual friends,” reveals the source. “But the next step is a true meeting of the minds: sitting down and figuring out Meghan’s next big moves as a team!”
