Royal Family Was Reportedly Concerned About Meghan Markle ‘Making Love’ Onscreen in ‘Suits’
Meghan Markle was a rising star in Hollywood when she met now-husband Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, played Rachel Zane for more than 100 episodes on the hit law drama Suits before walking away to pursue her relationship with the duke, 41, in 2017.
According to a new report, however, the royal family was concerned about Markle’s “very sexy” role.
“It is tricky because of the monarchy. Her role in Suits was very sexy,” Eliza Roberts — a casting director and the wife of Markle’s Suits costar Eric Roberts — told the Daily Mail on Tuesday, March 24. “Her making love with another man, that was just — they’ve never seen anything like that.”
“Meghan is a star,” Eliza continued. “From the second you see her, she just has star quality.”
Meghan and Harry tied the knot in May 2018. Two years later, they announced their plans to step down as senior working members of the British royal family, and relocated their family to California. They continue to raise their two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, in Montecito.
