Megan Fox Was Reportedly ‘Blindsided’ by MGK Split Amid Pregnancy With Their 1st Baby

Fans were shocked to learn about Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s split amid her pregnancy with their first child, and the Subservience actress was reportedly “blindsided” by their breakup, too.

“She’s been distraught,” a source told People on Wednesday, December 11, later noting that Megan’s “priority” is to prepare for a healthy delivery of their baby.

The report comes one day after news broke that MGK, 34, and the Transformers star, 38, called it quits. TMZ was the first to report the breakup after a source told the outlet that they split over Thanksgiving weekend in Vail, Colorado. During their holiday celebration, Megan reportedly saw something that she didn’t like on the “Bad Things” rapper’s phone, leading him to leave the trip early. They have yet to see each other since the blowout.

More details surrounding their split poured in shortly after the news broke.

“Megan and MGK have broken up several times since the pregnancy was announced,” a source told Us Weekly on Tuesday, December 10. “This was just one of the bigger ones that people have heard about.”

The source told the outlet that the Midnight in the Switchgrass costars’ “relationship is so full of passion,” leading to their breakups and make-ups.

“That leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways,” the insider continued to the publication. “Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.”

Before the halt in their relationship went public, Megan announced her pregnancy with her and MGK’s first child together.

“Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back,” Megan captioned the November 11 Instagram post.

In the photo, the starlet cradled her baby bump while covered in a black liquid.

The announcement came one year after Megan announced she suffered a miscarriage with MGK’s unborn child.

“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” the Jennifer’s Body actress said during a November 2023 appearance on Good Morning America. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately … trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”

While this is the first child that Megan and MGK share together, they both have children from previous relationships.

Megan shares kids Noah, Bodhi and Journey, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green. MGK, for his part, welcomed daughter Casie with ex Emma Cannon.

The couple have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since taking their romance public in 2020. Megan accepted MGK’s proposal in January 2022 but later revealed that it was called off during a March appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“What I’ve learned about being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” she said of her relationship with MGK during a separate part of the podcast. “So, I think as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I cannot say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”
