CHARLOTTE, MI - FEBRUARY 05: Larry Nassar sits in court listening to statements before being sentenced by Judge Janice Cunningham for three counts of criminal sexual assault in Eaton County Circuit Court on February 5, 2018 in Charlotte, Michigan. Nassar has been accused of sexually assaulting more than 150 girls and young women while he was a physician for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University. Cunningham sentenced Nassar to 40 to 125 years in prison. He is currently serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison for possession of child pornography. Last month a judge in Ingham County, Michigan sentenced Nassar to an 40 to 175 years in prison after he plead guilty to sexually assaulting seven girls. (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images)

The dad who tried to attack Larry Nassar in court last week said he's giving away the $31,000 people have raised for his defense to charity. An online fundraiser was started to help Randall Margraves — whose three daughters were some of the many, many gymnasts abused by the child molester — with any possible legal expenses after he rushed at the disgraced physician during his sentencing for sexual abuse.

The fundraiser brought in more than $30,000 in six days, according to the GoFundMe page.
But Randall said in a statement to CNN on Thursday, Feb. 8 that he did not need the money and will instead donate the funds to "local charities like Small Talk, RAVE, and the Firecracker Foundation." He added, "At the time of the incident, I didn't know that the great brotherhood had done this, and I was overcome with gratitude when I found out. I appreciate everyone stepping up to support me, but help is not needed for me. After giving people the chance to get a refund, the donations will go to organizations that help the sisterhood of survivors and other victims of abuse."

Since then, some of these organizations have spoken out to thank Randall. "I just wanted to share our appreciation especially in the face of so much tragedy," said Tashmica Torok, founder and executive director of the Firecracker Foundation. "[The donation] allows us to continue to do the great work that we do here and provide essential services to children who are survivors of very unfortunate circumstances," said Alex Brace, executive director of Small Talk Children's Assessment Center.

In a video obtained by The Detroit News, and later published by TMZ, Randall can be seen charging at Larry, who was recently sentenced to up to 175 years behind bars after more than 260 women came forward detailing their abuse at the hands of Larry. Before he was seen charging at the sex offender, he reportedly asked the judge to "grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon." When Judge Janice Cunningham said he couldn't, he later launched at Larry, who was at the defense table. He was heard shouting, "Let me at him — the son of a b—h. I want that son of a b—h… Give me one minute with that bastard."
