Doing Just Fine! Lamar Odom’s Fortune Is Still Thriving Even Without a ‘KUWTK’ Paycheck
He may not be getting a paycheck from Keeping Up With the Kardashians anymore, but Lamar Odom‘s net worth is still pretty impressive. In 2022, the former Los Angeles Lakers star remains a multi-millionaire, even after his divorce from Khloé Kardashian and time off the basketball court took their toll.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lamar is still worth a grand total of $30 million, with an annual salary of $8.2 million. Plus, now that he’s a cast member on Big Brother, it’s likely he’s earning even more than that.
But while he’s raked in plenty of cash over the years, he’s spent his fair share, too. The site reports the athlete earned a sum of $115 million during his time in the NBA. And while he hasn’t yet returned to the league since he was let go from the New York Knicks in 2014, he’s still playing.
In December 2018, he joined Mighty Sports, the Philippine club. He and his team nabbed third place in the 30th Dubai International Basketball Tournament in February 2019. After that, he had a brief stint as the co-captain of the Big3 Enemies team.
The NBA isn’t the only thing Lamar is moving on from. He also left his marriage drama behind when he went public with his relationship with girlfriend Sabrina Parr in August 2019. A few months later, the couple announced their engagement. “Introducing my new fiancé!! Soon to be Mrs. Parr-Odom. She the ONE!!!!” the basketball player wrote on Instagram in November.
Unfortunately, their romance didn’t last long. The Khloé and Lamar alum and fitness influencer called off their engagement in December 2020.
Following their split, Sabrina announced that she would be releasing a book called The Freedom in Walking Away, detailing the demise of her relationship with Lamar.
“A year ago today, I officially walked away from my ex-fiancé. I did not tell a soul (not even him); I just left! I knew the more I continued to talk about my unhappiness, the more I would stay comfortable being in it,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “We were less than a year away from getting married. I was scared, hurt and unsure of the outcome, but I knew if I stayed, I would never be free.”
A few hours later, the reality star seemed to respond to her announcement with his own account of the “toxic” and “abusive” relationship’s end in an Instagram post addressed to his “exes and next.”
“We were toxic,” Lamar said. “Independently and collectively.”
Khloé also moved on with on-again, off-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson and welcomed a daughter, True, in 2018. Despite going their separate ways, Lamar still has a lot of love for his ex.
During the February 3 episode of Big Brother, the pro-baller told Todrick Hall that when he joined the show, he secretly hoped “that my ex-wife was in here.”
“I wanted to see her so bad, bro,” he told Todrick.
In a confessional, Lamar added that he took a vow when marrying the Good American founder and didn’t “honor” it, which “haunts” him. “Sometimes when I get the opportunity to talk about it, it’s like therapeutic a little bit and I do miss her and her family dearly,” he continued. “Even just to her family, I am sorry that I let them down. They had so much faith in me and gave me my own nickname, ‘Lammy.’ I would do anything to make it up.”
