Still Counting! Kendra Caldwell and Joseph Duggar Welcome Baby No. 2

She’s here! Counting On stars Kendra Caldwell and Joseph Duggar welcomed their second baby on Saturday, November 2, at 5:33 a.m. The reality TV couple had a baby girl, Addison Renee, whom they’re “already so in love with,” they shared with Us Weekly.

“She made a quick arrival in the early hours of the morning and has already melted our hearts,” the pair told the outlet. “We know Garrett is going to be a great big brother. Children are each a special gift from God and we are so happy our newest blessing is here.”

When Kendra, 21, and Joseph, 24, first announced that they were expecting again, they told Us Weekly on April 11, “We are ready to double the fun at our house! Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone. We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year. Children really are a blessing from God!”

The duo are already parents to a son, Garrett David Duggar, who was born on June 8, 2018. That means their two little ones are pretty close in age. With her son, Kendra decided to give birth in a hospital rather than at home with a midwife like many of her Duggar sisters-in-law did or planned to do. She did not specify if Addison was born in a hospital or their home.

In June, the couple let fans know that they were expecting a daughter this time around. They revealed the gender to Us Weekly on June 25 and said “Parenting has already proven to be more wonderful than we could have dreamed. Even though we come from large families, there is nothing like having your own children. We are so thrilled that a little girl will be joining our family! Garrett is going to be such a great big brother.”

Since then, Kendra has offered fewer updates than some of the other Duggar women and wives when it came to how her pregnancy was progressing. On August 21, Amy King (née Duggar) shared a pregnancy photo to her Instagram page that featured several of the women, including Lauren Swanson, Anna Duggar, Abbie Grace Burnett and Kendra where they all showed off their growing baby bumps in maternity outfits. But other than that, she’s been more private than others as she’s awaited the arrival of her second child.
