Kendra Caldwell Is Pregnant! Joe Duggar’s Family Is Expecting Baby No. 2

Well, that didn’t take long! Less than a year after Kendra (Caldwell) Duggar and Joseph Duggar welcomed their first child, Garrett, they’ve announced they’re expecting their second. The Counting On couple shared the happy news with Us Weekly on Thursday, April 11. This will be the 14th grandchild for the Duggars — that Duggar family tree just keeps growing!

“We are ready to double the fun at our house!” Joe and Kendra told Us. “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone. We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year. Children really are a blessing from God!”

In March, fans started to suspect that Kendra might be expecting. Eagle-eyed followers noticed that a Pinterest account that appeared to belong to the TLC star had started pinning baby announcement ideas. In the wake of the recent announcement, it seems their sleuthing was spot on. Of course, we knew the family would be expanding sooner or later. In typical Duggar fashion, their little family is all about counting on.

“We would love to have more kids if the Lord blesses us,” Kendra told Us in March 2018, just a few months before she gave birth to Garrett on June 8. “As many as He wants to give us, we’ll be happy to take them.” In the weeks after they had their son, the young parents admitted everything was still pretty surreal. “It’s definitely super thrilling to be parents of our sweet little guy,” Kendra shared in a TLC clip. “I think it’s kind of surreal right now. We’re super excited just to get to do this journey together.”

Though they haven’t announced the baby’s gender just yet, we’re hoping for another Duggar daughter. Right now, the boy grandchildren outnumber the girls 9 to 3, and we think it’s time to turn the tables. Joe’s sister Jessa Duggar is also expecting, though she hasn’t announced the sex of her baby yet, either. Think we’ll get another few gender reveals courtesy of big brother John-David Duggar? All we know is that, now that Joe and Kendra have their own Instagram account, we’re excited to follow along as Kendra’s bump grows — and so does her family.
