Kanye West Is Apparently Writing a Book on Twitter — and Yep, We Smell a Mental Breakdown Coming

It looks like Yeezy may have fallen off his rocker again! This time, Kanye West has taken to Twitter to share his, erm, outlandish beliefs. On April 18, users started noticing that something was definitely off with the rapper — who recently just started using the social media site again. He began a very strange, philosophical rant earlier in the day that continued well into the afternoon. Is Kanye having another mental breakdown? He began, “When you first wake up don’t hop right on the phone or the internet or even speak to anyone for even up to an hour if possible. Just be still and enjoy your own imagination. It’s better than any movie.” Okay, that’s kind of true — insightful, even! Then things got progressively more wacky. The 40-year-old continued, “You have the best ideas. Other people’s opinions are usually more distractive than informative. Follow your own vision. Base your actions on love. Do things you love and if you don’t absolutely love something stop doing it as soon as you can.”

When did Kanye decide that motivational speaker would be his next calling? His tweets read like Tony Robbins meets Plato — on drugs. As mentioned, this went on for quite some time. Eventually, people wanted to know WTF was going on?! Turns out, it’s a book, not a breakdown. “Oh by the way this is my book that I’m writing in real time,” he explained. “No publisher or publicist will tell me what to put where or how many pages to write. This is not a financial opportunity this is an innate need to be expressive.”
