Joseph Duggar, who was arrested earlier this year after being accused of molesting a child who was 9 years old at the time, was denied unsupervised contact with his four children.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum appeared remotely in court on Tuesday, June 16, when a judge denied his motion for unsupervised contact but allowed him supervised visitation, according to TMZ.
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar‘s 31-year-old son, who is currently out on bond after his March arrest, was unable to communicate with his children following his arrest, according to Us Weekly. The publication also reported that the judge denied a request to amend a motion stating that Joseph cannot be within 500 feet of his accuser’s former home in Florida.
His next court appearance is reportedly set for July 14.
People reported that he and wife Kendra Duggar are selling one of their Arkansas homes ahead of his trial.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced in a Facebook post on March 18 that a 14-year-old victim disclosed “several incidents” involving Joseph that allegedly took place on a family vacation in Panama City Beach in Florida when she was 9 in 2020.
According to authorities, the teen claimed Joseph “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap” and “grazed” her private parts. He also allegedly rubbed “his hands on her thighs.”

The teen stated that Joseph apologized and that the incidents stopped. However, Joseph was confronted by the teen’s father on March 17, when he allegedly admitted his actions.
The father of four — who married wife Kendra in September 2017 — has since entered a not guilty plea to two charges of lewd and lascivious behavior.
Following news of Joseph’s arrest, he and Kendra were charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree in Arkansas. Those charges are unrelated to the Florida charges.
