Jon Voight is struggling to accept the news that Angelina Jolie plans to move away from Los Angeles soon, with an insider telling In Touch the aging actor fears he’ll never see his only daughter again.
“It’s hitting him hard,” reveals the insider. “Now he’s pleading with Angie to at least visit him one last time before she leaves town.”
As In Touch previously reported, the duo’s already rocky relationship took a turn for the worse in 2024, when Voight, 87, spoke out about the Wanted star’s messy divorce battle with Brad Pitt.
“Jon and Angelina barely talk or see each other these days, but it’s not for a lack of effort on his part,” says the insider. “He still checks in with birthday and holiday messages, asking about the children and praying that one day they’ll be able to put their differences aside and spend quality time together. He misses Angie desperately.”

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jolie, 50, alluded to escaping the City of Angels once her youngest kids, 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 on July 12 and she’s no longer bound to California by her custody agreement with Pitt, 62.
The Oscar winner, 50, said she intends to “spend a lot of time in Cambodia” going forward.
She’s since put her L.A. mansion on the market for $29.85 million.
“Jon gets that Angie’s ready to start over,” adds the insider. “But her move still feels a little cold-hearted to him.”
