Lessons learned. Jen Harley wants to date “a family man” after her fizzled romance with Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, the mother of two tells In Touch exclusively. The real estate agent reveals what qualities she would like her future beau to have, admitting he would ideally be great with children and ready for a long-term commitment.

“I actually would like to date somebody who already has kids, who knows what it’s like to be a father,” the 32-year-old exclusively tells In Touch. “A family man, who wants to be a husband, who wants to be in a relationship with someone that just helps build each other up and just build a life with somebody.”

The star also wants to make sure their priorities align. “I don’t want to live my life like ‘Oh, I’m doing this for me and he’s doing it for him.’ I want to be with somebody who wants to be a team and do it together,” she explains.

Jen isn’t romantically involved with anyone at the moment and she has no interest in using any dating apps. “I’m traumatized. Like I don’t even want to date anybody right now,” the brunette beauty exclusively tells In Touch. “I just want to focus on my career and getting my life back on track and then possibly dating again.”

As far as if she wants to tie the knot in the future, the MTV alum tells In Touch she’s not “super religious, so marriage isn’t a top priority.” However, if Jen meets the right person, she is “open to it.”

In the wake of her split from the reality star, she has been trying to “break the toxic cycle” with her former flame, 34, by chasing after her goals and helping raise their 2-year-old daughter, Ariana.

On April 28, Ronnie took to Instagram with a cryptic quote seemingly referencing their past drama. “Once you realize your worth, you’ll be embarrassed by the s–t you once settled for,” the meme read, offering some insight on his perspective.

Jen and Ronnie are still going through “a lot of legal stuff with the courts,” but she is optimistic they will be on better terms at some point in time. “I’m just ready for all of it to be over, and I just really hope him and I, at some point, can coparent peacefully,” she tells In Touch. “As long as he [makes] the efforts to be with [Ariana].”
