Wendy Williams Reportedly Considering Moving ‘For Her Health and Life to Improve’

It might be time for a change. Wendy Williams is reportedly considering moving to improve her well-being, an insider told Us Weekly. On January 30, the outlet reported that “there’s been talk of her moving for her health and life to improve,” following a year of health concerns including a battle with Graves’ disease and a fractured shoulder.

The talk show host is reportedly considering moving from her New Jersey home to Manhattan instead of commuting every day. (And we think most people in the New York City area can appreciate how much of a pain that can be!) Part of the reason the 54-year-old is thinking about relocating to the city where her show is filmed is to better focus on her career, the source claimed. But her health could be a big factor as well.

Wendy has been spending a lot of time in the hospital lately, according to Us Weekly. She’s reportedly trying to focus on her personal and physical well-being. “She’s fighting to get back to a clean bill of health,” an insider told the outlet.

On January 18, The Wendy Williams Show host revealed on Twitter that she would be taking a long hiatus from filming due to some of her health issues. She was originally supposed to return to her post on January 21, but a statement from her family on January 18 noted that she would take a “necessary, extended break.” On January 29, an insider revealed to In Touch that her return may come sooner rather than later, and be quite the shindig.

“Staff are planning a big ‘welcome back’ show where Wendy will address her health problems,” the source told In Touch. “But isn’t going to be saying anything else.” For now, guest hosts like Bevy Smith, Michael Yo, Heather McDonald, Ellie Lee, Carla Hall, Brian Balthazar and Devyn Simone have been heading up new episodes of her show in her stead. Hopefully, Wendy feels well enough to return to the small screen soon — and she might even get a shorter commute when all is said and done!
