Chelsea Handler’s Former Co-Host Heather McDonald Says She “Lived in Fear” While Working on ‘Chelsea Lately’
She is certainly NOT laughing anymore!
Chelsea Handler’s former employee Heather McDonald said that she “lived in fear” during her seven-year stint on Chelsea Lately.
“It was hard. Never being promoted… If a new writer came on, they got the same thing as I did. That part bugged me,” she said on a recent podcast.

Chelsea, 40, ended her contract with E! in 2014 and it apparently spelled the end of her relationship with Heather.
“My relationship with Chelsea ended,” said the 45-year-old, adding, “She wasn’t happy doing the show at the end. Everybody saw. She had tired of it. She didn’t know how to get out of it, which is why she went on Howard Stern and ended it early for us, which screwed us.”

Heather is still very sour about the experience, saying, “Everyone else walked away with a severance, and I walked away with nothing. Those little things were not that cool. She makes you feel so special until you’re not.”
The feud continued on Jan. 19 after Chelsea fired back at the comedian and revealed on Howard Stern's radio show that her co-host was selling stories to the media about her private life.
She said, “I just thought it was a betrayal … I wasn't paranoid, I just withdrew from that whole social scene – I withdrew from her."
The blonde beauty added, “I could have fired her. I did not fire her. She had a job for four more years. I never hung out with her personally again. So I hope she was living in fear. It's not an internment camp. If you're living in that much fear, go get another job."
