Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster can’t seem to keep their hands off each other.

One week after the couple confirmed their romance with a public date night, the Deadpool & Wolverine star and the Bunheads actress were spotted kissing in a car while waiting in the drive-thru line at an In-N-Out restaurant in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 12. Sutton, 49, leaned over to Hugh, 56, from the passenger’s side and cradled his face as they locked lips, as seen in photos published by The Daily Mail on Monday, January 13.

In another photo, the couple could be seen standing outside the car and sharing another kiss. Hugh sported a short-sleeved polo shirt, slacks and sneakers for the outing, while Sutton looked equally casual in an oversized blouse, dark joggers and sneakers.

The Music Man costars’ outing comes days after they went public with their relationship following months of speculation. Hugh and Sutton were photographed holding hands as they headed out to dinner in Santa Monica, California, on January 6, People reported.

Rumors about Hugh and Sutton’s relationship swirled amid their divorces from their respective spouses, Deborra-Lee Furness and Ted Griffin. The Greatest Showman star announced that he and Deborra-Lee, 69, had split up after 27 years in September 2023.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the pair said in a joint statement at the time. “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.”

The statement concluded, “We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives. This is the sole statement either of us will make.”

Hugh and Deborra-Lee share two adult children, Oscar Maximilian Jackman and Ava Eliot Jackman.

A little over one year later, Sutton filed for divorce from Ted, 54, after 10 years of marriage in October 2024. The former couple share daughter Emily, whom they adopted in 2017.

Hugh and Sutton first sparked romance rumors during their run on Broadway’s revival of The Music Man in 2022. A source exclusively told In Touch in December 2023 that the pair’s romance was an “open secret on Broadway” and that Hugh “has been besotted with Sutton from the moment he met her. He followed her around like a puppy!”

The insider added that Sutton was “absolutely giddy” around her costar. The source said that Hugh was “always [treating] Sutton like she was the star” of the show, and “she was moved by that.”

“He insisted that they shared equal billing above the title of the show,” the source added.

Following news of Sutton’s divorce from Ted, a source exclusively told In Touch in October 2024 that she and Hugh had become “inseparable.”

“Everyone in the theater world has seen the chemistry between them. It was only a matter of time before the truth came out,” the insider continued, noting that their connection was something “no one saw coming” but they “fell in love.”
