Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Daughter Bonnie Chapman Reveals How She Lost 60 Lbs. in 10 Months

Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter Bonnie Chapman revealed she’s lost 60 pounds in just 10 months’ time after turning to a weight loss drug when dieting failed her.

“I’ve been trying to lose weight since I was probably 18 years old,” Bonnie, 25, told E! News in an interview published on Sunday, November 24. “And it was just very frustrating to constantly be trying, constantly be putting in the work. I’ve been on a Mediterranean diet. I’ve been on a Paleo diet. I’ve been on diets all my life, and I needed something that would show me results.”

Bonnie tried Ozempic, but she “hated” the type 2 diabetes drug, which left her unable to eat without feeling nauseous. She then turned to Tirzepatide, another antidiabetic injectable also used for weight loss.

After starting on the drug in December 2023, the 4-foot-11 content creator said she lost 10 pounds within two weeks.

Loved ones who had gently told her she was “getting a little bit big” were the first to notice the changes in Bonnie’s body.

“At first, I didn’t really notice the changes. I’m stepping on a scale and I’m seeing the numbers go down, but I’m looking at myself and I’m like, ‘Where do I see it?’ And then I would be told, like, ‘You used to have a little bit more of something at the top of your stomach and it’s flattened out,'” she explained.

“I’m not going to lie, I cried a couple times, because I was like, ‘Wow, this is what I wanted my entire life,'” Bonnie said about reaching her goal weight of 130 pounds after tipping the scales at 196 pounds.

Bonnie is one of two biological children her famous father Dwayne “Dog” Chapman, 71, shared with late wife Beth Chapman. Beth died in June 2019 at age 51 after a battle with throat cancer.

While growing up in Hawaii, Bonnie battled weight issues, telling E!, “I’ve dealt with weight problems since I was pre-pubescent. I’ve always been the bigger friend. I’ve always been the bigger girl.”

Her battle was compounded by getting diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in her teens, followed by her mom’s death, where she “coped a lot with food.”

By December 2023, Bonnie made the decision to go on weight loss medication after consulting with her medical team.

“I just didn’t feel healthy, I didn’t feel good,” she explained. “I used food as a comfort for most of my life and I’ve realized I cannot do that anymore. I need to make healthier changes so that I’m able to be here with the people I love for a longer time.”

Bonnie shared an Instagram video on November 1 that she was down 58 pounds thanks to Tirzepatide and that she hadn’t been at that weight since she was “pre-pubescent.”

She said the medication helped her learn how to make “healthy weight loss decisions” and “healthy goals about what food I’m putting into my body.” The medication also helped her body “process foods slower” so that she “stayed full longer.”

“I am so in love with the results. I am able to look in the mirror and feel so proud of where I’ve gotten,” Bonnie gushed.
