Hailey Bieber Stuns on Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet Without Justin Bieber: Photos of Her Chic Outfit

Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) has proven that she doesn’t play around when it comes to fashion’s biggest night.

The Rhode founder, 28, arrived at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5, wearing a Saint Laurent blazer dress paired with sparkling accessories, sheer black stockings and sky-high black pumps.

Fans were hoping to see her husband, Justin Bieber, by her side but she hit the red carpet solo and posed for photos just feet from longtime best friend Kendall Jenner.

Celebrities attending the highly anticipated event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City were styled in accordance with the “Tailored for You” dress code, which was created in connection to the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Influenced by Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the exhibition “explores the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities, focusing on the emergence, significance, and proliferation of the Black dandy,” according to Vogue.

Hailey attended the Met Gala just weeks after her husband caused a stir online when a video of Justin, 31, kissing rapper Sexxy Red on the cheek when viral. In the April 17 clip, which the “Baby” singer posted on his Instagram, Justin could be seen sitting in a booth in a bar or restaurant as Red, 27, sat down and gave him a side hug. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek and flashed a huge smile after the exchange, which led to a flurry of comments from fans.

“Justin don’t be smiling like that with his girl,” one person commented on the video, which Red — whose real name is Janae Nierah Wherry — also posted on her account. “Yes he do!!” she replied back to the fan.

“Respect your wife!” another person wrote.

“I be DAMNED IF MY HUSBAND KISSING SOMEONE CHEEK,” a third fan commented.

However, Hailey did not seem to have an issue with the exchange, as she reportedly commented three heart-eye emojis on her husband’s post, according to The Daily Mail.

Amid the backlash, many fans defended Justin’s actions, with one person writing, “The kiss and side hug was definitely a friendly one … ya’ll are reaching with the ‘have some respect’ comments.”

“Bro just having fun, ya’ll trippin’,” another person added.

Hailey and Justin, who got married in 2018 and welcomed son Jack Blues Bieber in August 2024, have faced speculation about marital trouble and breakup rumors for more than a year now. While Hailey has fought back against the rumors and denied them, a source exclusively told In Touch in March that she and her husband were “upset” by the chatter.

“All the rumors and talk about them being on the verge of a breakup is upsetting, it absolutely bothers them, but they also don’t have the time or energy to waste on what other people are saying,” the insider shared.

The source continued, “They’d never have a moment to do anything else if they let that rule their life. They’re like all couples, they have ups and down and disagreements, but they both insist that what they have is forever true love. And they’re both obsessed with Jack, he’s the complete focus of their world right now and they wouldn’t have it any other way.”
