First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani with a baby carriage! The former Voice co-stars, and current love birds, are getting ready to take their relationship to the next level, as Life & Style has learned that the two have a destination wedding — and big plans for a baby — in the works!
According to those close to the singers, the two have an over-the-top destination wedding planned despite their failed marriages (his two, to both Kaynette Gern from 2003 to 2006 and and Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015, and hers to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016). And the insiders suspect that the reason they’re rushing to the altar is because they have a bun in the oven! “Gwen had her last child at 44, and at 48, she says she’s healthier than ever,” an insider tells Life & Style. “Her dream is to marry Blake and have his child. And announcing her pregnancy to friends and family on their big day would make the wedding all the more special. They’re both so overjoyed.”
Gwen hasn’t made her desire to get married a secret! On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host grilled her about marriage — and she couldn’t hide her enthusiasm. “I think about [marriage] all the time,” she gushed when asked about her future with her beau.
It makes sense that she’d be hearing wedding bells — as she’s already knee-deep in planning an over-the-top destination wedding in Mexico, slated for some time this summer! They were first inspired after Blake performed at a music festival in Riviera Maya, and they both fell in love with the beachy destination. “He and Gwen had a blast, canoodling on the beach and watching sunsets together during his free time,” the insider says. “After such a great trip, they’ve both agreed that Mexico is the perfect destination to tie the knot this summer.”
Plus, they’re keeping it (relatively) low maintainence for their relatives. “Mexico isn’t too difficult for Gwen and her family in California to get to, and it’s not a long flight for Blake’s familiy in Oklahoma, either,” the insider explains.
Once they are all set with the wedding, they’ll move full-steam ahead with expanding their family — if they haven’t already — the insider suspects. “They’re hoping for a little girl,” the insider dishes. “Blake and Gwen have been wanting this day to come for a very long time — being pregnant when she walks down the aisle is the ultimate wedding scenario for Gwen.”
