Gigi Hadid’s Response to Ex Zayn Malik’s ‘Triggering’ Confession That He Wasn’t In Love With Her (Exclusive)

Gigi Hadid isn’t letting ex Zayn Malik’s dismissal get to her.

During a recent appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the “Pillowtalk” singer, 33, made a shocking confession about his six-year relationship with the supermodel, 30, with whom he shares daughter Khai, 5.

“I will always love her, but I don’t know if I was ever in love with her,” he revealed.

“Gigi is way beyond being hurt by anything Zayn says, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t triggering for her,” a source tells In Touch. “She sees everything and did not appreciate him taking that shot at her.”

That being said, “she would never give Zayn the satisfaction of saying anything directly in response,” notes the source. “She’s not interested in getting in a big public fight with him. She has her daughter to think of. She wants to keep things as cordial as possible for Khai’s sake.”

Hadid isn’t the type to let comments like that go unchecked though, hints the source.

The day Call Her Daddy posted a teaser for Malik’s interview on Instagram, the fashion superstar was photographed on Tuesday, February 10, sharing a kiss with boyfriend Bradley Cooper on the streets of New York City.

“It makes sense she’s let her actions do the talking,” the source tells In Touch. “She sent a message to Zayn and everyone that she’s moved on and is very happy with her new man, who also happens to be a huge movie star.”

Adds the source: “She’s more than pleased with the way things turned out.”
