Gavin Rossdale Supports Gwen Stefani’s Relationship With Blake Shelton: ‘I Want Her to Be Happy’

Bitter exes? Not here! Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for over three years, but the blonde beauty’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, has nothing but love for her.

“I just always want her to be happy,” the 53-year-old exclusively told In Touch magazine at the New York premiere of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.

Meanwhile, the former flames are also trying to make coparenting work for their three children — Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 5. “You know, we both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less!” he joked. “They are doing really good. They’re really happy, and that’s it. We’re doing the best we can.”

So, what kind of advice does the Bush frontman give his three boys? “To be whole, interesting and considerate human beings who make this world a better place. That’s it. That’s all I tell them,” he said.

It’s refreshing to see Gwen, 49, and Gavin on the same page. The duo split in 2015 after 14 years of marriage, and Gavin once called his divorce “one of the most painful things you can go through,” while Gwen said she felt like a “failure.”

However, the dad of three has nothing but positive things to say about their time together. “We had 20 years together, and that in itself is pretty incredible. It’s a lifetime. I still think she’s incredible,” he said in a 2017 interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine. “It was a lovely 20 years, and we have three amazing children. There were a lot of positives, and with time they’ll become more and more obvious. The unconditional love she shows me is so powerful. It’s one of the greatest gifts, and I’m grateful for her every day.” Aw!

These days, the “Hollaback Girl” crooner is not afraid to show off her country beau. Even though the mom of three doesn’t have a ring on her finger, it seems like the lovebirds are happier than ever. “[They] are in a great place and act like loved-up teenagers, it’s so cute! Their nights out together really help keep the relationship alive,” a source told Life & Style.

The U.K. native also has a new lady in his life — he brought model Natalie Golba as his date to the movie premiere on May 9, where they were all smiles.
