Frank Gifford’s Mistress Speaks Out Following His Death
The late Frank Gifford’s extended cheating history has come to light.
His second wife, Astrid — who was at one point his mistress — has opened up about their relationship in a new interview.
“He was married, and I thought I could deal with it. But I couldn’t. I loved him. I needed to get away and make a new start,” she told Radar of their four-year affair when he was married to his first wife, Maxine.
Astrid also explained how Don Meredith and his wife were crucial in making their marriage happen.
“I was still very close with them. I had my little life out there, and I guess they told Frank. So he came out and said he wanted to marry me. He just showed up at the door!”

The two spent eight years together and got divorced in 1986. He went on to marry Kathie Lee that October after another alleged affair.
Unfortunately, their union was plagued with a cheating scandal in 1997.
The 84-year-old tragically died of natural causes on August 9, leaving behind his wife and five children.
