In Touch Weekly has exclusively learned that Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer-Calvert checked into a Utah rehab facility on May 21, roughly two weeks after she was originally scheduled to enter and changed her mind.

“She’s ready for her 30-day stint of therapy,” says a source close to the Teen Mom 2 star in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now.
“She’s being treated for depression and stress. She’s always put other people’s needs ahead of her own, and her mental health suffered because of it.”

But Leah’s problems run much deeper. As In Touch previously reported, the reality star was served with divorce paper on April 14, filed by her estranged husband, Jeremy Calvert, in a Smith’s parking lot in Elkview, West Virginia, where the couple lived together.
Leah had flown to the facility several weeks earlier, but didn’t check in because ex-husband Corey Simms threatened to fight her for custody of their twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah, 5.

Now, “they’ve worked everything out and everyone agrees that it’s best for the girls to be with Leah and best for Leah to take the time to get well,” the source tells In Touch. “She is finally ready to make a positive change in her life and get treatment.”
