We’ve barely seen Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes since the couple welcomed their first child, Esmeralda, on Sept. 17. But now ‘In Touch’ has learned it’s allegedly because the new mom is depressed since welcoming baby No. 1 — and it’s taking a toll on their relationship.
“It seems like she’s suffering from the baby blues,” an insider tells ‘In Touch.’ “She’s been having severe mood swings, making it unbearable for anyone to be around her. One minute she’s sending Ryan videos of their daughter, and then the next she won’t accept his calls.”

But despite his best efforts, Eva’s mood hasn’t changed, according to the source.
“Ryan wants to make things better and even suggested they go see someone for help,” the insider tells ‘In Touch.’ “But Eva won’t go. She doesn’t think there’s a problem.”
