Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, were spotted together all smiles nearly six months after he admitted to fathering a child outside of their 21-year marriage.

Dave, 56, and Jordyn, 48, were spotted in Glendale, California, looking cheerful on Sunday, March 16, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail. The Foo Fighters frontman kept it casual in cargo shorts and a three-quarter sleeve shirt, while his wife of 21 years sported a stylishly athletic look with a black sweatshirt, green joggers, and platform Adidas sneakers.

The outlet reported that Dave and Jordyn were headed to meet a friend for lunch, and neither appeared to be wearing their wedding rings.

The pair, who have been married since August 2003, have rarely been seen together since the former Nirvana drummer confirmed in September that he fathered a child outside of their marriage. Dave and Jordyn share three daughters: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the “Best of You” artist announced via Instagram on September 10, 2024. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Sources later exclusively told In Touch that Dave went public with the news because he felt pressured to come forward. “He feared the mother or someone else would spill the news,” the insider explained on September 17, 2024. “It’s his way to own up that he’s made mistakes.”

The identity of the child’s mother was revealed to be 38-year-old Florida native Jennifer Young last month, per the New York Post. The rock n’ roll fan, who sports tattoos in honor of Metallica and Paul McCartney, confirmed she welcomed a child who shares the same last name as Dave on August 1, 2024, according to records obtained by The Post.

Jennifer is reportedly raising the child in a “leafy neighborhood” of Los Angeles with her mother and has never been publicly seen with Dave. She told the post she could not comment on whether the musician was involved in their child’s life.

Dave and Jordyn are seemingly picking up the pieces of their marriage after the baby revelation, with sources exclusively telling In Touch that he has his eyes set on a vow renewal ceremony that would serve as a second chance to make things for the long term.

“Dave has a long way to go to win Jordyn back and convince her to remarry him, but he says they’re making progress and he’s very hopeful that eventually it will happen,” the insider revealed on February 17. “He’s been doing everything he possibly can to win her forgiveness. He’s going to therapy and has turned over all his passwords so she can check up on him whenever she wants. He’s very clear that he made a huge mistake that will never happen again.”

Dave says he can’t “imagine his life without” Jordyn and he’ll do whatever she asks to fix this,” according to the source.

“As you can imagine she’s still very skeptical, there’s a lot of anger and trust issues to work through but so far, she seems to be willing to at least try, which is enough for Dave,” the source concluded. “His whole focus right now is convincing her that he can be a better man and that his days of having a wandering eye are over.”
