A woman named Jennifer Young confirmed she’s the mother of Dave Grohl‘s love child. Speculation about whom the rocker had a baby with outside of his 21-year marriage to Jordyn Blum has been rife ever since he admitted to fathering the child in September 2024. Who Is Jennifer Young?

Jennifer was described as a “38-year-old, Florida-born rock ‘n’ roll fan who now resides in Los Angeles,” when confirming she’s the mother of Dave’s love child to the New York Post on February 21, 2025.

The baby girl she had with Dave shares his last name, according to records obtained by the outlet, which chose not to reveal the child’s first name for privacy reasons. The records revealed the baby was born on August 1, 2025.

The Post reported that Jennifer is living in a “modest house with her own mother in a leafy neighborhood of Los Angeles.” She told the post she could not comment on whether the Foo Fighter’s frontman was involved in their child’s life.

In photos of Jennifer and her baby daughter out and about in New York City on February 14, 2025, she had tattoos of the heavy metal band Metallica’s logo on her arm, as well as Paul McCartney song lyrics. She even adorned her daughter’s cranial helmet with stickers of Metallica and Led Zepplin’s logos, as well as Elvis Presley.
