She’s taking a break. Cardi B posted a cryptic message shortly before deactivating her Instagram account on February 11. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has been facing major backlash for her big win at the 2019 Grammy Awards, and fans are confident that’s why she’s stepping away from IG.

“I used to want this s–t forever you can have it back,” Cardi, 26, posted shortly before deactivating her page. The former Love & Hip Hop: New York star heard all about the controversy surrounding her Best Rap Album win for Invasion of Privacy, and was clearly hurt by all of the haters. She vented about the backlash in a since-deleted video captured by a fan account.

“It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift someone else. That’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with and I don’t support that,” Cardi said. “However, I’ve been taking a lot of s–t today… and I saw a lot of s–t last night,” she added, noting how she worked extremely hard on her album. Cardi also addressed how everyone was mad last year when she got “snubbed,” but now she’s hearing the opposite. “My album was always Top 10, No. 1 album as well,” Cardi said.

The rapper even opened up about how difficult it was to stay on her grind while pregnant, as she did during her acceptance speech. “I f–king worked my a– off, locked myself in the studio for three months my n—a and then went to sleep in my own bed sometimes for four days straight—pregnant,” she said in the video. “Some songs couldn’t even get on the f–king album because my nose was so f–king stuffy from my pregnancy.” Despite the nay-sayers, Cardi came out victorious against her fellow nominees, Travis Scott, Pusha T, Nipsey Hussle and the late Mac Miller.

Cardi did pay homage to Mac, who passed away at the age of 26 on September 7, by posting a screenshot of an article that read, “Mac Miller’s Family Is ‘Rooting for Cardi B’ If He Doesn’t Win at the Grammys.” Cardi captioned it, “WE WON A F–KIN GRAMMY.”

On February 10, Cardi mentioned Mac again. “I’m sharing this Grammy with you motherf–ker!!!” she yelled in the video. Hopefully all this drama ends soon!
