Cameron Boyce’s Family Announces the Launch of Foundation in His Honor Following Shocking Death

So sweet. Cameron Boyce’s family is honoring his memory by launching a foundation in his name. The late actor’s father, Victor Boyce, revealed the news on Twitter on Monday, July 15.

“The Cameron Boyce Foundation. Retweet, retweet, retweet!!!!!!” the cyclist wrote, along with a heart and praying hands emoji. “Let’s not talk about it, let’s BE about it! Let’s do good as Cameron would. Let’s keep his legacy alive!”

According to the website, “The Cameron Boyce Foundation provides young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world. The Foundation was established in 2019 to honor Cameron’s legacy.”

Of course, Victor’s followers were ecstatic when they heard the news. One person wrote, “This is so amazing! He’s so proud!! Really want to donate as soon as possible,” while another echoed, “So beautiful. I donated and will continue to donate often. He was such a beautiful soul, and it’s an honor to donate to a foundation in his name. A third person chimed in, writing, “Donating as we speak. Cameron’s heart was a gift to this world, and we must allow that gift to keep giving.”

The Jessie alum suddenly died at just 20 years old on Saturday, July 6. “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” a spokesperson for the family told Us Weekly at the time. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure, which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”

Following Cameron’s tragic death, his dad and mom, Libby Boyce, spoke out about their amazing son on July 10. “There are no words to describe how moved we are by the tremendous outpouring of love and support from our family, friends and the world,” they shared in a statement to E! News. “Thank you, everyone, for encircling us with your love and respect of Cameron and concern for our family. He was the definition of human kindness, and a light that will forever shine as his spirit lives on in all who knew and loved him. He was the rock of our family, and he always had a positive, heartwarming, insightful and caring outlook on everything and everyone.”
