Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Can’t Agree on Who Should Be Awarded Their Miraval Estate Post-Divorce

Learning to share. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still aren’t officially divorced after splitting up in 2016. So, what’s the hold up? According to sources, the former couple can’t come to terms on how to divvy up their Miraval estate.

“The sticking point is the value of Miraval,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Angelina wants to be awarded the property as hers entirely because it was her idea to purchase the property to begin with.” The estate is located in Correns, France with an adjoining vineyard that covers 1,200 acres. We would fight for it too!

The source added that Brad, 55, thinks he has been “more than generous with other financial elements” of their uncoupling and isn’t going to back down from Miraval. According to the insider, Brad offered Angelina, 44, a “one-time lump sum pay of $10 million.”

The former flames purchased the home back in 2008 for a reported $67 million. The famous family wed of their property back in 2014. On the grounds, the popular Château Miraval wine is produced, including their award-winning rosé.

Aside from their tiff concerning the French home, Brad can’t seem to reconcile with the couple’s adopted son Maddox. Angelina has reportedly been trying to reconnect the two but “Maddox hasn’t been receptive,” a source told Us Weekly. “And for Brad, it’s a tremendous loss.”

In a video interview exclusively obtained by In Touch, Maddox gave an update on his tumultuous relationship with his father. When asked if his famous dad will visit him at college, he replied, “Um, I don’t know about that … what’s happening.” Maddox also shared his thoughts on if their relationship is done for good. “Whatever happens, happens,” he said.

Their relationship has been strained since an alleged altercation on a private plane that transpired in 2016. “All the kids are close to Brad apart from Maddox who keeps his distance — he’s never really gotten over the whole flight incident and is so protective of his mom,” a source revealed to In Touch. “Despite Brad’s attempts to make amends, their relationship sadly won’t ever be the same.” We hope these two can make amends and share the French estate.
