She’s on the mend. As In Touch previously reported, Dog the Bounty Hunter alum Beth Chapman was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, April 6, after having trouble breathing amid her cancer battle. But now, In Touch can confirm that Beth is back home and recovering after her recent hospitalization, and her husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, is supporting her through her recent health scare.

“She is at home resting after being released from [the] hospital,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly. “Doctors drained almost four liters of fluid from her lungs. Dog was by her side throughout the entire process. She is not in chemo contrary to reports.”

The update on Beth’s condition seems positive after her recent hospitalization and health scare. “Beth Chapman has been rushed to a Hawaii hospital with serious breathing issues. She hasn’t been feeling well of late and Dog is by her side. One thing everyone knows about Beth is that she’s a fighter,” an insider previously revealed to Us Weekly.

Beth was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017, and she underwent cancer removal surgery and chemotherapy to treat the disease. By December 2017, she was cancer-free. But she was rushed to the hospital on November 2018 and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a life-threatening blockage in her throat. After the surgery, Beth learned that her stage 2 throat cancer had returned.

But even throughout her cancer battle, Beth refused to stop working and she even traveled with Dog, 66, to search for fugitives while filming their WGN show, Dog’s Most Wanted. Just hours before her hospitalization, Beth shared a photo of his and hers bounty hunting gear.

“She’s still trying to get involved in my bounties and business,” Dog previously revealed to In Touch magazine. “She’s trying to still advise me on my work, and I’m like, ‘Honey, I was Dog the Bounty Hunter before I met you, stay out of it!’ And she woke up the other night and told me, ‘You’re so damn stupid, if I die you’re going to lose the farm,’ and I said, ‘Beth, we don’t have a farm.’”
