Baylen Out Loud’s Baylen Dupree Confuses Fans With Apparent Wedding Photos Featuring Fiance Colin

Baylen Dupree had fans confused by thinking she and her fiancé, Colin Dooley, tied the knot after she shared photos of them at a wedding.

“Congrats to the Dupree’s,” Baylen, 22, captioned the Sunday, March 23, Instagram post.

The influencer shared a handful of photos in the carousel roundup, including a few of her and Colin, 21, posing in front of a floral altar-like walkway and a greenery wall with an LED light that read “The Duprees.”

In the pictures, Baylen wore a yellow spring dress with flowy layers and matching short sleeves to match. Meanwhile, Colin wore a gray suit and a light blue shirt. The couple flashed wide smiles in every photo, leading fans to ask if the special occasion was for them or a family member.

“The Duprees? Colin taking Baylen’s last name?” one fan asked, while a second person asked, “Excuse me?!!! Is this an engagement party or wedding announcement?!”

Other people eased the panic by sharing that they were attending Baylen’s cousin’s wedding.

One day before sharing her Instagram post, Baylen did a try-on haul via TikTok and asked her followers to help her choose between two dresses for her cousin’s wedding. In addition to the chosen yellow gown, Baylen contemplated wearing a pink floral dress – but she wasn’t too sure about the fit of the garment.

While the photo in question wasn’t at Baylen and Colin’s wedding, the couple are preparing to walk down the aisle after confirming their engagement on February 11.

“Congratulations. Baylen Dupree and her boyfriend Colin Dooley have confirmed the news: they’re engaged! Don’t miss the proposal on the new series #BaylenOutLoud Mondays at 9/8c on TLC,” the network captioned the announcement at the time.

Fans watched Colin get down on one knee during the Baylen Out Loud season 1 finale on March 10.

Baylen’s parents, Julie Dupree and Allen Dupree, and Colin’s mother and father, Marlene Dooley and Chuck Dooley, were aware of the proposal. However, Baylen’s siblings, Burke Dupree, Sammi Dupree, Sven Dupree, Vick Dupree and Bechnir Dupree, were just as surprised as Baylen about the engagement.

Colin rented out a venue with an oceanside view and a heart-shaped floral archway, candles and a rose petal walkway. When Colin asked Allen for Baylen’s hand in marriage, he mentioned that she dreamed of getting proposed to on the beach.

Baylen’s sister, Sammi, 19, was shocked to see the setup upon arrival and gave her stamp of approval of the layout.

“My emotions throughout this whole thing have been very up and down, especially about Colin — but seeing this was like a little glimmer of hope that he showed his appreciation for her,” Sammi admitted during a confessional interview. “I did not expect it to be this much. I know this is so Baylen,” she gushed. “Just so Baylen! I don’t even know how to explain it.”

After Baylen said “yes” to Colin’s proposal, the couple excitedly shared their big relationship news.

“We’re thrilled to share that we’re officially engaged!” the pair previously shared. “We can’t wait to take you along on this journey — through all the ups, downs, and everything in between. But one thing’s for sure, we’re beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives!”
