Angelina Jolie Wants to Be ‘Strategic’ With Son Knox’s Career: Acting, Modeling Offers ‘Rolling In’

Knox Jolie-Pitt caught plenty of positive attention when he appeared on the red carpet alongside mom Angelina Jolie at the Governors Awards on November 17 – as an insider reveals exclusively to In Touch how she’s got all kinds of exciting plans for the youngster to step into the limelight a whole lot more in 2025 and beyond. 

Half of a twin set along with sister Vivienne, Knox, 16, cut a striking resemblance to his A-list dad, Brad Pitt, as he accompanied his mom, 49, at the awards. It marked a milestone in the youngster’s celebrity development, as the source says that “as a kid, Knox was very shy, so Angelina has always shielded him from the public.” 

Although, now that “he’s starting to get a lot more confident, he wants to step into the spotlight a little more and test the waters, so she’s now nurturing that side of him.” 

Nepo babies aren’t anything new in show business and even seem like the norm nowadays. Angelina, too, was brought into the Hollywood sphere by her father, actor Jon Voight, making her screen debut as an actress alongside him in the 1982 movie Lookin’ to Get Out when she was just seven years old. 

No one can blame a proud mama for helping her son along with his ambitions now that he’s old enough to make some decisions for himself. Unsurprisingly, the insider assures that “with his good looks and pedigree, he could have instant success in front of the camera.”

As the Salt actress’ divorce battle with ex Brad, 60, continues slogging on, a renewed focus on Angie as a mother has been made as she deals with the alleged abuse they faced at the hands of their father, who denies all of it. Despite Brad’s insistence of innocence, something is definitely going on as his children begin peeling off the “Pitt” moniker. 

“I am not an artist first, I’m a mom,” Angelina told The Hollywood Reporter during a promo interview ahead of the release of Maria. It’s no secret she’s doing her best to protect her children – all while trying to rebuild her career – but that also means helping them out when she can.

“Fact is,” the insider continues, “the offers for modelling gigs and acting roles are already rolling in, but Angelina isn’t about to jump at anything. She wants to be very strategic about it, because the last thing she wants is for him to get swept up into the Hollywood lifestyle.” In an effort to save them some heartache, “She still wants him to have time to be a normal teenager.” 

“That being said, she is certainly looking at all the offers and discussing them with Knox and her team of agents, because he does want to get out there,” the source says. “He’s got a big interest in music and even acting, so building up his portfolio is the smart thing to do. It’s just a matter of taking the right steps at the right time.”
