Reunited and it feels so good! Angelina Jolie got to see her oldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, at the premiere of her new movie, Maleficent: Mistress Evil, in Japan on Thursday, October 3 — a little over a month after the actress dropped him off at college in South Korea. Additionally, the 44-year-old’s daughter Zahara also came along for the fun outing.

Throughout the night, Angelina looked so happy as she held hands with the 18-year-old once they got out of the car. It looked like the brunette beauty was having an amazing time with her kiddos as she couldn’t stop smiling and laughing while she posed on the red carpet with them. The Jolie-Pitt crew looked dapped in their outfits — Angie wore a white sparkly flapper-like dress with big earrings and silver shoes while Zahara rocked a black dress and Maddox wore a black suit.

On Monday, September 30, the Hollywood A-lister revealed that she would be seeing Maddox in just a short amount of time. “He’s good. But he’s flying to meet me in Japan. So, I am two days from my hug,” she told Extra at the time. “He’s great. I know he is solid. He’s fine, but I need [the hug.]” Well, it certainly looks like Angie got what she wanted! That same night, the Oscar winner brought five out of her six kids — Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, both 11 — to the Los Angeles screening of her new Disney movie.

In August, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star flew Maddox to South Korea, so she could move him into Yonsei University. “Maddox is leaving the tight-knit family nest and while there have been some tears, he’s super excited about starting this new journey,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “He told his siblings that they have to listen to Pax now, which they all laughed at. Pax probably took it the hardest, but he’s tough and doesn’t cry, all the other kids got teary-eyed. They’re all going to miss their oldest brother, who’s always been kind and a very calming presence, even when he was little.”

However, there was one person absent from the adventure: Angelina’s ex-husband Brad Pitt. In a video exclusively obtained by In Touch, a cameraman asked the college freshman if his famous father would be visiting him at school. “Um, I don’t know about that … what’s happening,” he said. “Whatever happens, happens.”
