Amy Duggar Says She’s a ‘Firm Believer in All the Meds’ After ‘Painful’ Early Contractions

Bring on the epidural! Amy Duggar is just one week away from her due date, and she wants “all the meds” during labor. The Counting On star dished to In Touch exclusively that her early contractions were so “painful,” there was no way her son would be welcomed into the world without a hefty dose of painkillers.

“Those early contractions were painful, they literally hit me out of nowhere, and I could hardly stand up!” the 33-year-old said. “So, I know when it’s time for me to go in active labor, it’s going to be even worse — although I do have an epidural ready with my name on it! Firm believer in all the good meds,” she laughed.

On September 22, Amy revealed that she was rushed to the hospital after having early contractions. “The goal is to laugh forever with someone you take serious [sic]. Well … at times!
Last night was one of those serious times,” she wrote on Instagram. “I went to the hospital and they told me I was having early labor contractions and whoaa buddy they were intense but I’m not yet dilated! So I just have to breathe, rest and let my body do the rest.”

She then thanked her husband, Dillon King, for his support. “Thank you for always being my rock @kingdillpickle and for all the prayers and sweet DM’s! The nurse said Daxton is ‘textbook perfect!’ Praise the Lord!” She continued, “PS: checking for dilation hurts. Hurts freaking bad and I seriously should write a book about the real stuff that happens during pregnancy. I promise I wouldn’t sugar coat a thing!! Lol!”

We love that the brunette beauty has a sense of humor! And by the sounds of it, Dillon has been A+ hubby throughout her pregnancy. “I’m obsessed with snow cones,” Amy, 32, explained to In Touch on Tuesday, August 13. “So he will make a snow cone for me at, like, midnight! The day we found out we were pregnant, on Valentine’s Day, he got me six Louis Vuitton bags! So he has spoiled me!” Six?! Holy smokes. While Dillon joked that it was “the little things” that count, Amy insisted, “The snow cone makes me just as happy as the LV, I’ll be honest.”

Sounds like he could have saved himself a lot of money! Can’t wait to hear what he gets his ladylove as a push present. *Wink, wink.*
