‘Alaskan Bush People’ Stars Ami And Billy Brown Threaten Matt’s Future On The Show After He Goes MIA

Will he get the boot? Matt Brown went MIA after his second stint at rehab and his parents, Ami and Billy, are responding by showing him tough love. The Alaskan Bush People stars reportedly told their son that his future on the show could be jeopardized if he doesn’t change his act.

“Billy and Ami have finally gotten in contact with Matt since he left. They told him if he did not return home right away that they would not allow him to be a part of the upcoming season of Alaskan Bush,” a source close to the family tells Radar. “They would like to pick up next season with Matt being sober and healthy. That is what Billy had planned,” the insider further explained.

The 36-year-old’s family has been worried about his well-being since he left treatment early and allegedly refused to work with a sober coach. Ami and Billy were even more concerned after he headed out to the California desert, leading them to fear he’d relapsed once more. According to the news outlet, Matt was spotted in Palm Desert, CA, in mid-December, and seen in a photograph in Mountain Center a week later. Luckily, they finally got a hold of him.

Ami, 54, and Billy, 65, have reportedly been at odds with Matt because of their different views on how he should handle treatment. “Matt doesn’t really want to have a sober coach anymore but his father is insistent on it,” a friend explained in November. “He thinks that going to meetings and working with a therapist is enough. But his family wants him to have someone there with him 24/7 to make sure he stays clean.”

The Discovery star first went to rehab back in 2016 and he opened up about the experience during a candid interview. “I could see myself spiraling,” Matt said, noting how he’d been drinking more at the time. “I was more withdrawn. I was slower. Things didn’t excite me the way they used to,” he explained. We wish him all the best in 2019.
