It’s Official: Adele Files for Divorce From Husband Simon Konecki
Moving on. Adele reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Simon Konecki, on Thursday, September 12, after more than seven years together. The “Someone Like You” singer submitted the paperwork at a Los Angeles court house, according to Radar Online. This development comes five months after their split was announced.
On the bright side, it seems there’s no bad blood between the exes. “Adele and her partner have separated,” her representative previously told In Touch back in April. “They are committed to raising their son [Angelo] together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

It’s speculated the award-winning artist, 31, and her entrepreneur-philanthropist former flame, 45, married in 2017, as she called him her “husband” during her winning speech at the Grammys that year.
Prior to that, the duo was confirmed to be in a relationship back in 2011. Adele was very private about their romance, having first broke her silence about their bond in a blog post in January 2012. A few months later, Adele revealed they were expecting their first bundle of joy and he was born that October.
Adele did share more details about their connection during a candid interview with Vanity Fair in 2016. She praised his admirable qualities and claimed it was the most serious relationship she’d ever been in. “I have no desire to be with anyone in show business because we all have egos,” the songstress dished. “He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing.”
“Simon is already who he is,” Adele added at the time. “I’m still becoming who I’m going to be. He’s confident. He’s perfect.”
The singer has been spotted without her wedding ring in recent months, so it looks like she’s embracing her newfound single status. Perhaps, she’ll be dropping more chart-topping breakup ballads in the future.
